10 - 4 slices sourdough bread or country bread
11 - 2 tablespoons butter, softened
12 - 1 cup baby spinach or arugula
13 - 1 ripe avocado, sliced
14 - 4 slices provolone cheese or Swiss or mozzarella
# How-To Steps:
01 - Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, basil, chives, and tarragon in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper, then stir until smooth and creamy.
02 - Spread butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
03 - Arrange two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a cutting board. Spread Green Goddess spread on the unbuttered side of each slice.
04 - Layer provolone cheese, baby spinach or arugula, and avocado slices on top of the Green Goddess spread.
05 - Spread additional Green Goddess spread onto the unbuttered side of the remaining bread slices, then set them on top of each sandwich, buttered side facing outward.
06 - Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Gently place sandwiches onto the skillet. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing lightly, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
07 - Slice sandwiches in half and serve immediately while warm.
